About

So you want to know a little about my life perpetually on the threshold of I don’t know what?

The title here, liminal, refers to being on a threshold, in between, neither here nor there and both here and there.  This is me in more ways that one.

I’m a writer.  I write about anything and everything.  I live with my two children and five cats.  One of them is very intently purring at me while I type this.  She’s 11 and has been the most loyal and compassionate friend I’ve known.  But she does like to eat hummingbirds even though she knows I prefer to watch them alive.  I keep a little oasis in the desert of the great southwest.

I’ve gone back to college for the third time.  This time I am working on a BA in Religious Studies with a minor in American Studies.  Previously I got a degree in Computer Aided Design and Mechanical Engineering Technology and substituted multivariable Calculus for an Algebra credit to graduate.  Before that I officially studied English and Modern Languages but in reality I took a bunch of classes in sociology, mythology, history, literature, Spanish, German, French, and Latin.  In other words I’m a nerd and professional student.   I love my studies but they do distract me from posting quite as often as I would like.

You are free to peruse the archives although there are two distinct phases of my life chronicled here.   The older first group is a glimpse into where I was.

I am now reinventing myself for about the 10,000th time in 31 years.  It’s a journey and every step has the possibility of a new direction.  I’ve taken many careless steps and a few that were over-thought until I stood paralyzed.

I have lived most of my life in two very different communities with very different world views.  My own opinions result from having been exposed to a multitude of ideas and beliefs.

I welcome comments and thoughts so long as they are shared in a spirit of respect.  I’m a big fan of love and compassion in all the forms they take.

I hope you enjoy your time here.

All writing on this site is my own original work.  This includes poems, essays and random ramblings.

INteresting. We have, I think, things in common. I thought your latest post a cry of outrage, and since I am often tempted to do likewise, I applaud.

Check out the Virgin Marys apparations in Medjugorge, remember the date March 18th,2017 and the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima story, there all connected,an open Heart you seem to have.

I’m afraid I don’t understand the connection between this and that but what is really weird is that tonight I’m reading on the Virgin’s apparitions in Arizona in the late 80’s and early 90’s and this author connects them with Medjugorge and Fatima.
