About

So you want to know a little about my life? I exist perpetually on the threshold of I don’t know what. Liminality and thresholds, living on borders and never being quiet here nor there, or maybe always being both here and there, seems to the the condition of life for me.

I write about anything and everything. I live with my two children and three cats and thirty-six house plants. The kids are both turning into teenagers. The cats want you to know that I did not ask Icarus’s permission to use his photo as my avatar on WordPress. Also, they are very proud that they have been immortalized here and here and here.

I’m a Colorado girl by birth but New Mexican by family roots and current home address. (No, this isn’t some special Southwesty spiritual pilgrimage life. Yes, I’ve watched the X-Files episodes. No, I’ve never seen an episode Breaking Bad. My neighbors tell me the house behind mine appeared as a set in a few episodes long before I moved in. Really, truly, we’re all mostly just normal people here.)

I’m currently working toward a PhD in American Studies. If you don’t know what that is, don’t worry because I don’t either. Just kidding, not quite. I’m one of those incorrigibly curious people who loves to learn just to learn. I’ve started to make a better joke that I ended up in this sorry state because I never could make up my mind what I wanted to be when I grew up.

Please go read the “Poetry Notes” and “Essay Notes” tabs for a bit more guidance and information in reading my labyrinth. Also, if you’re brave enough to read through ten years of archived crap you’ll find an entirely different writer lost back there in the maze somewhere. Bit by bit I take down the old shit but I’m too busy lazy to preform to sort through that many words.

I welcome comments and thoughts so long as they are shared in a spirit of respect.  I’m a big fan of love and compassion in all the forms they take.

I hope you enjoy your time here.

All writing on this site is my own original work unless otherwise noted.  This includes poems, essays and random ramblings. Please remember that plagiarism is terrible karma and kidnapped ideas will haunt you like a ghost that turns your toilet paper around every night and sets your alarm to wake you up with the sound of a puking cat at 3AM.

INteresting. We have, I think, things in common. I thought your latest post a cry of outrage, and since I am often tempted to do likewise, I applaud.

Check out the Virgin Marys apparations in Medjugorge, remember the date March 18th,2017 and the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima story, there all connected,an open Heart you seem to have.

I’m afraid I don’t understand the connection between this and that but what is really weird is that tonight I’m reading on the Virgin’s apparitions in Arizona in the late 80’s and early 90’s and this author connects them with Medjugorge and Fatima.
