-2016: A Sample of 20 Years

I thought I’d do something a little different for the obligatory New Year’s post this year and build a new page that makes it possible to read the jumble of poetry on this site in a semi-chronological order. And while I’m at it I picked one poem from each of 20 years to re-share. Except 2007 so it’s really a scam and you only get 19 poems for the price of 20. 😉  These are some of my favorites, the more enduring and endearing poems, the ones that seem to have aged best. Heck, I turned 13 in 1996 and I kinda think from 2017 maybe I was wiser as a kid than I am now. Please enjoy and let me know what you think!

 “Yourself

 “Untitled Poet

 “Distract Me

 “possession

 “i choke

 “spilled milk

 “occupation

 “silence

Poor 2007 has nothing to show for itself.

 “little witch

 “blisters

 “untitled e

 “Too Much

 “raisins

”if you pick berries in the desert

About m

My ego wants to think I'm a writer but my heart knows I'm just another one of God's Kids who sometimes has words to say. 2 human kids and 3 feline kids call me Mom. Or Mooooooom. Or mewom, depending which you ask. My most recent completed endeavor was finishing BA's in Religious Studies and American Studies. I don't remember what free time is but I think I like to spend it sleeping or playing in the mud on a river bank.
