god turned away

god turned away                                June 27, 2016
i dreamed our wedding contract
but we tore our names off
and you wouldn’t touch me

we tore our names off
and put them in our pockets
like pieces of a missing puzzle

like pieces of a missing puzzle
i wanted you to kiss me
and you wouldn’t touch me

i wanted you to kiss me
but we tore our names off
before the ink was dry

before the ink was dry
god had turned away
from where you would not touch me

god had turned away
and we had no witness
no puzzle for our missing pieces

we tore our names
off our wedding contract
and put them in our pockets

About m

My ego wants to think I'm a writer but my heart knows I'm just another one of God's Kids who sometimes has words to say. 2 human kids and 3 feline kids call me Mom. Or Mooooooom. Or mewom, depending which you ask. My most recent completed endeavor was finishing BA's in Religious Studies and American Studies. I don't remember what free time is but I think I like to spend it sleeping or playing in the mud on a river bank.
