apples and worms

apples and worms                                May 31, 2016
i know something is wrong with him
because he says he loves me
and normal healthy men
have no use for me.
i think about a poem i heard
in which a couple is unzipping each other
but this is not us.
no,
for we are already inside one another,
nor are we
the worms in the other’s apples.
i don’t know what we are.
we do not touch
for we are like earth and moon
pulling each other
circling and orbiting, spinning
through the sun and shadows.
we would be dead
but for the other
yet we cannot touch.
no,
we are not earth and moon
for soon
we will touch
like water and sand
both inside the other

About m

My ego wants to think I'm a writer but my heart knows I'm just another one of God's Kids who sometimes has words to say. 2 human kids and 3 feline kids call me Mom. Or Mooooooom. Or mewom, depending which you ask. My most recent completed endeavor was finishing BA's in Religious Studies and American Studies. I don't remember what free time is but I think I like to spend it sleeping or playing in the mud on a river bank.
