pantoum for the wind

pantoum for the wind                            May 4, 2016
the desert is a lively place
inside my heart tonight
the frogs croak hoarse with their longing
for the boy from the banks of the nile

inside my heart tonight
the little san juan is my life
where is the boy from the banks of the nile
when the sand blocks the air of my face?

the little san juan is my blood
wetting the desert of me
the sand blocks the air from my mountain soul
stinging my naked flesh

wetting the desert of me
with a picture of his bare chest
stinging my naked flesh
with longing in the spring’s cave

a picture of his bare chest
this desert is a lively place
where the spring bubbles in the cave
and the frogs croak hoarse with their longing

About m

My ego wants to think I'm a writer but my heart knows I'm just another one of God's Kids who sometimes has words to say. 2 human kids and 3 feline kids call me Mom. Or Mooooooom. Or mewom, depending which you ask. My most recent completed endeavor was finishing BA's in Religious Studies and American Studies. I don't remember what free time is but I think I like to spend it sleeping or playing in the mud on a river bank.
